Yaku: Loving Mama Michigan

In partnership with Pachacamak Folk Foundation, Yaku is a weekly ecological conservation effort to protect the waters of Mishigami (indigenous word for Michigan) + the great lakes.

We work to restore the circular economy of wildlife by picking up plastic + other non-organic matter along the beach. We work on Montrose Beach Harbor + plan to extend to other beaches in our city.
